Web Design in San Marcos, TX

Plumbers, roofers and HVAC crews in San Marcos, Texas: I design and build your website. It's the Hays County seat, midway between Austin and San Antonio on I-35, and work runs both ways.

About

Built for the stretch between two big cities

A crew based here can take work in either direction. Kyle and Buda are north on I-35, and New Braunfels, the Comal County seat, is further down the highway. Wimberley sits off the highway to the northwest.

I'm Carter, and as a website designer I stick to the trades: plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians, roofers, pool and landscaping crews, tree services and installers. It's just me, not a web design company with a sales desk, so the person you first write to is the one who builds your site and handles your edits.

I'm based in Austin and build websites for home service businesses wherever they are. It all happens online, so working together is easy from anywhere.

Pecan Street Pools Sample business

Pecan Street Pools is a made-up Austin pool company, built the way I'd build yours: a call button on every phone screen, pages for the main services and a quote form.

Around the county seat

Old streets, new rooftops and three counties

The city crosses the Hays County line: the Census Bureau places parts of San Marcos in Caldwell and Guadalupe counties too. A plumber here can change counties without leaving town, then take the next job in Kyle or New Braunfels.

The houses run from old to new. The Belvin Street Historic District, with its Late Victorian and Colonial Revival homes, is on the National Register, and the city says it keeps ranking as a growing community. Rewiring an old house and wiring a new one are different searches, so your website design should speak to both.

Local rules shape the work, too. The city's Permit Center handles permits for remodels, electrical and trade work, pools, decks and fences. SMTX Utilities, the city's utility, sets watering rules for each drought stage. A landscaper who explains them on a service page answers a question before a customer has to ask it.

How it works

  1. 1Start

I talk with you about your business and what you need.

You pick a plan and pay by card or bank account.

  2. 2Build

You fill in a short, easy setup in your portal, and I build your site from your answers and your photos.

You review your preview, with one round of changes.

  3. 3Grow

I launch your site on your own domain.

Your portal keeps your leads, your edit requests and your messages with me.

Reasonable small edits are included, like new text, hours, prices, photos or a new service. Bigger jobs, like a new section or a redesign, are quoted first.

Questions

Fair questions from a Hays County trade owner

Can you work with a trade business down here, south of Austin?

Yes, gladly. Web design works well at a distance. You reach me through the contact form or by email. Once you sign up, you send your details and photos through a short setup in your portal, and I build from those. After launch, edit requests go through that same portal, so a business in Hays County gets the same service as one in Austin.

What does the monthly price cover?

Plans start at $197 a month, and that covers the whole service, not only the build: I design and build your site, host it, keep it running and make reasonable small edits. Website + Google adds care for your Google profile (two posts with photos a month, every review answered) and review requests sent to your customers. Cancel any time.

What happens once my site is live?

That's the Grow phase. Your site runs on your own domain, and your portal tracks your leads, edit requests and messages with me. Need a new price, a fresh photo or another service listed? Send it as an edit. A new section or a redesign gets a quote first. Write to me any time, and I'll get back to you myself.

My service area crosses county lines. Can one site cover all of it?

Yes. A homeowner thinks about their town, not their county. Every plan includes pages for your main services and towns, so a page for Kyle and another for New Braunfels can sit on one site, though the two towns are in different counties. If you take jobs from Wimberley out to Lockhart, put the towns you most want calls from first, since the first few after your main town get pages.
