Web Design in Manor, TX

I design websites for Manor, TX plumbers, electricians and HVAC techs. The city's water page puts a line at the meter: a leak between the meter and the house is generally the homeowner's.

About

The owner's side of the line

Most of a house sits on that side. No city crew comes to rewire an electrical panel, service an HVAC unit, patch a roof or take down a dead tree in the backyard. Each of those jobs starts with a homeowner looking for someone to hire.

I'm Carter. As a website designer, I work only for the businesses that take those jobs. Once a homeowner learns a problem is theirs, the next question is who fixes it. My website design gives them an answer: your services, your area and a button that calls you.

I'm based in Austin and build websites for home service businesses wherever they are. It all happens online, so working together is easy from anywhere.

Pecan Street Pools is a made-up Austin pool company, built the way I'd build yours: a call button on every phone screen, pages for the main services and a quote form.

From the main to the house

Follow one sewer line and see where the city stops

In Manor, the main in the street and the tap on it are the city's to look after. If a home's line runs under the street, the city's part goes as far as the edge of the pavement or the front of the curb.

Past that point, the line is the owner's. The city won't film it, won't locate it and won't do any work on private property. If a city crew digs up a private line in a utility easement and the fault is the owner's, a licensed plumber has to be there to repair it.

Manor has a rule for disputes too. If a contractor clears a stoppage and says it's the city's problem, the city wants video of the stoppage, or the line filmed with a city employee there to witness it. So if you own a sewer camera, put that on your drain cleaning page. A homeowner who blames the city's side will need someone who can film the line.

Questions

Good to know before you sign up

Website + Google or Full Service: which plan is worth the money?

One line in the plans table sets them apart: Voice AI. Both include your website, Google profile care and review requests to your customers. Full Service adds Voice AI, which answers the calls you miss, takes the details and sends you a summary. It costs more a month, so it only pays its way if you'd use Voice AI. If you pick up most calls yourself, Website + Google covers it. The Website plan is $197 a month.

Is my trade the kind of business you build sites for?

If you fix, build or look after something at a customer's home, it almost certainly is. Fletch SEO is a web design company of one, and I only take on home service businesses: plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies, roofers, tree services, pool companies, landscapers and installers. A garage door installer who works Manor, Pflugerville and Elgin fits right in. Not sure about yours? Tell me what you do in the form below.

Can my site say where my work starts and the city's stops?

Yes. I write your service pages from your setup answers, so tell me how you explain it on a job. A line like “a leak past the meter is generally yours to fix, and I can fix it” tells a homeowner the job is theirs and that you're the one to do it. You'll see the wording in your preview, and your round of changes can fix anything that's off.

Most of my work ends up buried or behind a wall. What photos should I send?

Take them before it's covered up: the open trench, the new cleanout, the panel with its cover off, the new duct run before the insulation goes back. Then take one of the finished job from the same spot. A homeowner sees what's under there now and how neat it was left. Those shots can go on your site with that service.
